Dreamy Eyes – A 360° Music Video
We just released a new music video for our song, Dreamy Eyes. Directed, Produced and Edited by Darrell A. Guinn. Here’s his interpretation of the song and how he came up with the idea/concept for the video:
“I spent a week listening to this song every day when the band started to work with me. To me, the lyrics take us on a journey where the writer finds himself totally lost in his affection for his muse. Because he feels things like he’s never felt before, he likens it to being in a dream or a fascinating dimension. He contemplates whether it’s only a wonderful dream and ultimately surrenders to not even caring if he is dreaming as long as he can stay in the moment with the object of his affection.
Musically, the deliquescent melody is unconstrained and drifts off without really defining a beginning and end. To me, this made the song perfect for a new technology that I had been wanting to experiment with. Until now, 360° video has mostly been confined to extreme sports (first person view of skiing, sky diving, etc) or gaming graphics. I’m proud to present an interpretation of this song that presents worthwhile visuals from all sides of the camera in a composition that includes intricate editing, fx, and even a narrative.
Immense credit is owed to the brilliant songwriting which carries the video.”
